Technical Specifications (TS) are a mandatory document for codifying and supplying defense products. It is the technical passport of an already-built, tested product: its actual characteristics, configuration, operating conditions, storage, and transport requirements.

What is included

  • Product analysis and collection of source data (TTX, drawings, passport data)
  • TS structure development per DSTU-N 1.3:2015
  • Determining the applicable track — Resolution No. 345, 1275, or 256
  • Preparation of the TTX package and product passport
  • Submission and registration with Ukraine's Ministry of Economy
  • Amendments to existing TS following product upgrades — 7 days

How the process works

  1. Initial consultation — we determine the applicable track and the list of source data needed
  2. You provide a technical description, TTX, and (if available) design documentation
  3. We draft the structure and content of the TS — approx. 14 days
  4. We align the final draft with you
  5. We submit for registration with the Ministry of Economy — up to 5 business days
  6. You receive registered TS, ready for testing and codification
TS or Technical Requirements?

These are not the same thing. Technical Requirements are set by the General Staff before a product exists — a technical brief. TS are developed by the manufacturer after testing — a record of actual characteristics. More in our TS vs Technical Requirements article.
